Description |
Ball State University is seeking a full-time, non-tenure-track position for a Instructor of Sociology to teach four classes each semester. This position will be a one-year contract with possibility of renewal.

Minimum Qualifications |
Master's degree or equivalent course work in sociology or a closely related field from an accredited institution by date of appointment. |
Authorization to work in the US |
Candidates for searches must have current authorization to be employed in the U.S. without employer sponsorship. |
Preferred Qualifications |
PhD in Sociology. Area of specialization is open and will depend on department needs.Ideally, the candidate will have expertise in quantitative methods, including survey research and statistics. Experience with recent innovations in data collection and analysis is preferred (e.g., AI use, data scraping). A background in R would be preferred, but proficiency in Stata or
SPSS would be acceptable. Evidence of strong teaching ability is desirable. |
