This individual will support Ambulatory Nursing Administration and must have experience in:
- Executive calendar management
- Meeting coordination with internal stakeholders and external vendors
- PowerPoint presentations
- Meeting minutes
- Department event planning support
- Expense report management
**Healthcare experience preferred**

The Administrative Services Specialist provides executive level administrative support to VCUHS Vice President(s) or Executive Director(s).

The Administrative Services Specialist ensures that all administrative assignments are carried out in a professional, timely and confidential manner and that the office operates efficiently and effectively.

The Administrative Services Specialist may also provide administrative support to Division Directors/staff and back-up coverage to other senior level executives as needed.

Experience REQUIRED:
Minimum of four (4) years of previous secretarial/administrative work experience in an office setting
Previous experience with Microsoft Office applications and e-mail/calendaring

Experience PREFERRED:
One (1) year of experience supervising staff
Two (2) years of previous experience performing accounting and/or budgeting functions in a corporate setting

Education/training REQUIRED:
High School Diploma or equivalent

Education/training PREFERRED:
Associate Degree in Business, Accounting or related field from an accredited program

Independent action(s) required:
All administrative responsibilities are performed independently.

Communicates and interacts with all levels of internal and external contacts;

Oversees operational aspects of office;

Coordinates/schedules all meeting and makes related arrangements;

Types a variety of documents;

Screens/refers calls;

Handles purchase requisitions and travel reimbursements, etc.

Supervisory responsibilities (if applicable):
May supervise assigned staff or interns/students.
