Summary of the Job:

The Summer Compliance Intern will assist the Compliance team with administrative tasks and projects that support the firm's regulatory obligations. This role is ideal for someone interested in gaining exposure to broker-dealer operations, financial services regulation, and corporate compliance programs.

About This Role:

Key Responsibilities May Include:

  • Organize, maintain, and archive compliance records and documentation
  • Assist with data entry and document management
  • Support the team in conducting internal audits and compliance testing
  • Help prepare reports and spreadsheets for internal and regulatory review
  • Assist in monitoring and tracking employee licensing, certifications, and continuing education
  • Draft and format memos, correspondence, and meeting notes
  • Assist with reviewing and logging document retention records
  • Perform general administrative duties such as scanning, copying, and filing
  • Participate in compliance meetings and training sessions, as needed

The Ideal Candidate for This Role:

Qualifications:

  • Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree, preferably in Finance, Business, Legal Studies, or a related field
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and within a team
  • Interest in financial services or compliance is a plus
