The Alaka`ina Foundation Family of Companies (FOCs) is looking for a Range Operations Clerk to provide support for our government customer in Kaua'i, Hawai'i.

Under general supervision, this position performs administrative duties for all sections of Koa Lani's Range Operations Department and reports directly to the Range Operations Manager.

DESCRIPTION OF RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Supports the Range Operations Department, which include the following departments:
    • Airfield Services
    • Data Systems
    • Launch Ordnance
    • Range Operations
    • Marine Systems
    • Aerial Targets
    • Range Communications
  • Maintain all Department SOPs, DIPs, OPs, MPs, Master Lists & Forms
  • Maintains Range Operations Department Employee Training Records.
  • Supports Department CDRL preparation, dispatch, disposition, and archiving tasks.
  • Attends operational and/or contract meetings as directed by Range Operations Manager
  • Prepares correspondence for appropriate signature(s) and transmits to the designated location(s) as directed.
  • Assist with Department PRs and tracking costs associated by Department
  • Assist with tracking Department PM records to ensure timely completion and
  • Accuracy
  • Assists with managing Technical Instruction ODC funding, and purchases to directly support departments
  • Completes required purchases for FLEET tasking, to include direct coordination with vendors and picking up materials from vendors located on island, if needed
  • Prepares and submits travel request paperwork for departments
  • Assist with Technical Instruction (TI) BOE Proposals
  • Manage Department Share Drive Files
  • Assist with On-Site Organization of Offices & Documents
  • Manage the Department PEMs site
  • Assist with ESI Ordnance & Marine Systems SOP review
  • Knowledge of the PMRF Range Scheduling System (RSS).
  • Performs other duties as assigned by Range Operations Manager

Office conditions are varied and include physical tasks including lifting, pushing or pulling 10 pounds. Physical positions will include but not be limited to walking, standing or sitting for extended periods of time. The environment will include customer contact and extended workdays in an office laboratory.

REQUIRED DEGREE/EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION:

  • High School or equivalent
  • Associates degree preferred.
  • Graduate of a recognized school of Business preferred

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Four (4) years of general office experience required
  • Ability to accurately follow both oral and written instruction
  • Keyboarding skills and aptitude for neatness and accuracy in sorting required.
  • Must be proficient in operating computers, and standard office equipment.
  • Able to type forty to fifty (40-50) words per minute.
  • Strong communication skills and motivation, with a detail-oriented approach and excellent organizational abilities
  • Strong work ethics to include reliability and punctuality to ensure we meet customers' deadlines.
  • Must possess the following PC skills: MS Office including Word, Excel, Outlook, Power Point, Access

REQUIRED CITIZENSHIP AND CLEARANCE:

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen
  • Secret security clearance is required. (Applicants selected either must currently possess a Secret clearance or will be subject to a Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements to obtain clearance prior to commencement of employment and maintain a security clearance for access to classified information or Closed/Restricted Areas throughout duration of employment.)
