Position Summary: The Materials Operations Supervisor is responsible for the Material Operations at their assigned airport(s) including the terminal for material storage in support of Maintenance. The Supervisor interfaces with Station Managers and Maintenance Supervisors to fulfill material needs. In addition, the Supervisor coordinates performing the functions as set forth in the General Maintenance Manual and schedules Material Specialists in conjunction with Maintenance to support the terminal. Essential Responsibilities Manage the workflow of all Material Specialists stationed at assigned airport(s) Compliance with all relatable manuals and requirements stated in said manuals (GMM, Materials Shipping Manual, HAZMAT Shipping manual, etc.) Oversee all stock in the terminal, hangar and support other departments with material needs Monitor the Material Specialists that oversee the storage of material stock at assigned facilities Monitor engine changes within assigned airport Work with Corporate Real Estate to obtain material storage space at assigned airport as needed Other duties as assigned Minimum Experience and Qualifications: High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED) Diploma Three (3) years' experience in a leadership role or one (1) year of leadership experience in Materials One (1) year of prior Materials Specialist or Warehouse experience Pass and maintain rating and be able to drive forklifts ((four) K to 18 (eighteen) K) tugs, trucks, and other vehicles Successfully pass the Materials and General Maintenance Manual (GMM) training courses. Depending on location you may be required to pass an International Air Transport Association (IATA) or Department of Transportation (DOT) approved Hazardous Material Training Course and maintain recurrent training of the course Ability to use handheld two way radios, headsets and/or phone Available for overnight travel (50%) Must be able to acquire and maintain a valid Security Identification Display Area (SIDA) Badge for all Blue Material cities Possess and maintain a valid Driver License and a record that meets JetBlue Airways' insurance standards Must be in possession of valid travel documents with the ability to travel in and out of the United States Pass Hazardous Material Training Course Excellent verbal and written communication skills Ability to work under pressure in a team environment Ability to think creatively Must pass a pre-employment drug test Must be legally eligible to work in the country in which the position is located Authorization to work in the US is required. Equipment: Computer and other office equipment Ground support equipment to include; bag tugs, belt loaders, trucks, forklifts (4,000 and 18,000) box trucks and other related equipment Ability to use handheld two way radios, headsets and/or phone Work Environment: Elevated noise levels in terminal areas and outdoor conditions On call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week in support of the stations for which they hold responsibilities Irregular work shifts Variety of weather conditions Physical Effort: Position requires strenuous physical work. Heavy lifting, pushing or pulling of objects up to 100 pounds occasionally and/or up to 50 pounds frequently. (Heavy) Compensation: The base pay range for this position starts at $71,000.00 annually.
