General Facility Technician

Fortinet is seeking a General Facility Technician to join our facility team in a fast-growing cybersecurity company at the Headquarters facility in Sunnyvale. This is a computer lab and data center environment with several buildings in the Bay Area.

Responsibilities

Typical tasks include; receive shipments in our shipping receiving department, operate forklift, scissor lift, golfcart, pallet jack, patch & paint walls, replace ceiling tiles, T-bar repair, small carpet repairs, add/remove walls, cubical reconfiguration, desk adjustments, move support, irrigation repairs, PVC pipe, sprinkler & drip, maintenance of bio retention drains off parking lot, add mulch as needed, clear drains, remove debris from roofs and roof drains, small roof repairs, restroom fixture repair or replacement, water heaters, pond maintenance, add salt to water softeners, pressure washing, respond to leaks, fence repairs, trace/pull cables, change air & water filters, assist the facility team where needed with day to day maintenance and installation projects.

Qualifications & Experience

• Hold a Valid CA Driver's License.
• Is legally authorized to in the United States.
• Must be able to bend, stoop, squat, crawl, climb, kneel, balance, push, pull, and reach overhead.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds and constantly moving on your feet.
• Ability to climb and stand on all types of ladders.
• Strong mechanical ability, carpentry, plumbing, electrical, landscaping skills a plus.
• Team player with good cross-functional & communication skills, willing to help adjacent departments.

Wage ranges are based on various factors including the labor market, job type, and job level. Earnings for this position are expected to be $120,000 - 180,000 Exact salary offers will be determined by factors such as the candidate's subject knowledge, skill level, qualifications, experience, and geographic location.
