Operations Manager
The Stella Hotel & Ballroom is looking for a fun and outgoing person to work on our team as a full time Operations Manager. As an Operations Manager you would oversee the maintenance, repair, and overall upkeep of the property to ensure operational efficiency, guest satisfaction, and compliance with all safety and brand standards. Additionally, the Hotel Operations Manager is responsible for financial planning, staff management, and collaboration with various departments to optimize labor, enhance customer service, and support hotel operations.

As the Operations Manager on our team, you will complete a variety of tasks which will include:
- Implement and ensure follow through of preventative maintenance program at the property.
- Assist with implementation of capital improvement projects. Obtain bids and coordinate work to be completed with vendor, property, construction, and city officials, as necessary.
- Evaluate maintenance and property needs while working within budget constraints.
- Assist with on-call emergencies such as fire, flood, etc.
- Ensure excellent customer service is consistently provided across departments.
- Act as a point of contact for guest concerns, complaints, and special requests.
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness, safety, and overall guest satisfaction.
- Oversee front desk operations in collaboration with Front Desk Supervisor to ensure efficient check ins, check outs, and guest interactions.
- Monitor occupancy levels and coordinate with sales and revenue management to maximize ADR and RevPAR.
- Partner with Housekeeping Supervisor to ensure cleaning standards are met.
- Assist with training of new front desk and housekeeping team members.
- Oversee schedules for housekeeping and front desk team.
- Monitor labor reports and adjust schedules as needed to optimize productivity.
- Lead, mentor, and develop department supervisors to enhance team performance.
- Foster a positive and motivated work environment that aligns with hotel values and goals.
This position is ideal for someone with the following experience and qualities:
- High school diploma or equivalent required. Associate or bachelor's degree in hospitality, facilities maintenance, or related field preferred.
- Three years of experience in hotel operations or management experience required.
- Experience in managing labor costs, scheduling, and workforce optimization.
- Experience with electricity, plumbing, mechanical, drywall repair, carpentry, and a working knowledge of HVAC systems and various appliances.
- Must be able to read and interpret documents such as schematics, procedural manuals, and OSHA standards.
- Proven ability to lead and develop teams in a fast-paced hospitality environment.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.
- Strong understanding of housekeeping standards, and maintenance best practices.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays, as needed.
- Possess a valid driver's license, automobile insurance, and have a motor vehicle record that meets the standards of insurability set by the insurance carrier to operate personal automobile while on company business.
