DESCRIPTION OF WORK

An employee in this role is tasked with overseeing the operations related to the receipt, storage, distribution, and recordkeeping within one or more storerooms or warehouses. This position involves managing a team of Corrections Stock Clerks and providing guidance and training to inmate workers on the job. Responsibilities include requisitioning necessary supplies and equipment, as well as preparing and maintaining detailed work records and personnel reports. The employee must ensure that both staff and inmates adhere to established safety and security protocols while fostering a safe working environment. Additionally, this role encompasses the therapeutic care, custody, and control of assigned inmate workers, requiring a significant degree of independence in decision-making. The effectiveness of the employee's work is assessed by an administrative supervisor through regular meetings, reports, and evaluations of overall performance.

- Full-time employment
- Work hours are 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with 30-minute lunch.
- This position is eligible for full retirement benefits at age 50 or 55.
- Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.
- Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- Three years of experience as a Corrections Stock Clerk (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
- Four years of experience in receiving, storing, or distributing an inventory of goods.
Special Requirement:
- You must possess a current driver's license which is not under suspension.
Additional Requirement:
- You must be able to perform essential job functions.

- You must pass a background review and meet Criminal Justice Service Information (CJIS) compliance requirements.
