We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Director of Commercial Excellence/Sales Operationsto lead the development and execution of world-class commercial capabilities across our organization. This role is instrumental in enabling our sales and account management teams to perform at their highest potential through best-in-class tools, processes, and practices.

The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker and hands-on leader with a proven track record in sales excellence, commercial capability building, and cross-functional collaboration. This role is critical to driving customer engagement, accelerating growth, and embedding a culture of continuous improvement and value creation.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the Commercial Excellence Strategy:Design and implement a scalable framework to elevate commercial capabilities across the business, with a focus on account management, negotiations, pipeline management, and business development.
  • Develop and Deploy Sales Enablement Tools:Drive the creation and adoption of sales playbooks, battle cards, value proposition frameworks, and go-to-market strategies that improve win rates and sales effectiveness.
  • Own Commercial Tools & Processes:Manage and optimize commercial tools including CRM systems, opportunity management tools, Voice of the Customer (VOC) platforms, and business development toolkits.
  • Drive Sales & Account Management Excellence:Partner with Sales Leaders to embed consistent, structured approaches to account planning, customer segmentation, and pipeline health management.
  • Support Strategic Customer Engagement:Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support major customer proposals, negotiations, and strategic initiatives. Act as a trusted advisor in key customer opportunities.
  • Enable Go-To-Market for Innovation:Support the launch and commercialization of new products and technologies by designing effective customer engagement strategies.
  • Change Leadership:Lead change management efforts to drive adoption of commercial excellence initiatives across the organization.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and manage the sales operations/continuous improvement team by leveraging knowledge and skills to achieve team goals.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree required; MBA or relevant advanced degree strongly preferred.
  • Minimum of 5+ years of experience in Commercial Excellence, Sales Enablement, Sales Operations, or a related function in a company with >$1B in annual revenue.
  • Prior experience in sales, business development, or account managementis required.
  • Prior experience in building, leading and developing a team.
  • Demonstrated success in designing and deploying commercial strategies, tools, and processes.
  • Strong experience in CRM platforms(e.g., Salesforce), pipeline management tools, and sales enablement software.
  • Proven ability to lead change initiatives, drive adoption, and work effectively in matrixed organizations.
  • Highly motivated self-starter with excellent communication, project management, and influencing skills.
  • Ability to partner cross-functionally with Sales, Marketing, Product, Finance, and Supply Chain teams.

Location: Remote/Atlanta preferred.
