As a Financial Systems Analyst Senior your goal is to manage complex financial systems data related to budgeting, planning and reporting. You'll manage the relationship between IT and departmental staff in regard to required updates/changes in software; and you'll lead, develop and provide training on financial and/or other software to departmental staff and organizational systems users. #LI-MD1 #LI-Hybrid

You will do this by:

  • Overseeing the maintenance and troubleshooting of financial systems data; facilitating the development of reports within financial systems to support the financial reporting needs of end users; consulting with systems users and stakeholders; developing strategy around consistent reporting and reporting best practices
  • Managing and executing support activities for the finance department including maintenance and troubleshooting, system access, new user setup, and training
  • Ensuring the data is being reported accurately in the financial module; involving working with end users and IT team members to gain knowledge and understanding of the current processes; acting as point person in reviewing the impact on the financial modules for processes changes implemented by other groups
  • Recommending and implementing policies and procedures to standardize and improve accounting practices as they relate to financial systems; leading change related to digital finance best practices and automation techniques
  • Recommending changes based on financial system analysis to Finance Leadership
  • Reviewing security of financial systems software and ensures all roles are in accordance with Company delegation of authority policies

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related field OR equivalent education and experience
  • Minimum of five years of related experience
  • High level proficiency in Microsoft Excel

Preferred Qualifications:

  • SAP BPC knowledge/experience
  • Manufacturing industry experience
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA)

Additional Knowledge & Skills:

  • Thorough knowledge of accrual basis accounting and financial reporting
  • Strong computer literacy, especially experience with financial software systems
  • Comprehensive familiarity with multiple currency consolidation process systems
  • Proven organization, planning, and project management skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with all levels of the organization
  • Possesses advanced understanding of accounting and financial information systems
  • Thorough knowledge of financial systems software (e.g. SAP, BPC, etc.) software
  • Fluent in English and primary language used in area of responsibility and/or location
