We have an opening for a Senior Manager, Data Platforms.

The Senior Manager, Data Platforms is responsible for the architecture, enablement, and operational excellence of the Firm's data, integration, and AI platforms. This role ensures secure, scalable, and reliable infrastructure to support analytics, business intelligence, and automation initiatives. The Senior Manager, Data Platforms works closely with engineers, analysts, and enterprise architects to deliver platform capabilities using Azure Data Lake Storage (ADLS), Azure Data Factory (ADF), Databricks, Workato, Power BI, and Azure DevOps. This role also drives DevOps best practices, CI/CD automation, and infrastructure governance across platforms.

In this capacity, the Senior Manager, Data Platforms will:

  • Manage the configuration, operation, and optimization of Azure-based data and integration platforms (ADLS, ADF, Databricks, Workato);
  • Lead DevOps automation and CI/CD pipeline implementation across data, integration, and AI workloads using Azure DevOps;
  • Collaborate with data engineers, integration specialists, and analysts to ensure seamless platform interoperability and high availability;
  • Implement and enforce platform-level security, RBAC, and compliance controls in coordination with security and cloud teams;
  • Drive infrastructure-as-code standards and automated deployment practices across environments;
  • Support the development and refresh of enterprise Power BI datasets and semantic models;
  • Monitor and improve cost, performance, and observability using tools such as Azure Monitor and Log Analytics;
  • Maintain documentation, operational runbooks, tagging strategies, and environment configurations; and
  • Partner with AI and data science teams to enable experimentation environments and promote responsible AI platform practices.

Proficiencies:

  • Strong understanding of Azure Data Lake, Azure Data Factory, and Databricks administration and configuration;
  • Experience implementing CI/CD pipelines in Azure DevOps and managing Git repositories;
  • Familiarity with Workato or similar iPaaS platforms (e.g., Mulesoft, Boomi);
  • Experience with Power BI datasets, workspace permissions, and service principals;
  • Working knowledge of infrastructure as code (e.g., Bicep, Terraform, ARM templates);
  • Proficient in platform observability tools (Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, Application Insights);
  • Strong grasp of RBAC, managed identities, data encryption, and network security in Azure;
  • Familiarity with data governance and cataloging tools such as Microsoft Purview (preferred); and
  • Exposure to MLOps tools or AI/ML platform operations a plus.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field;
  • 10+ years of experience in data platform engineering, DevOps, or cloud infrastructure roles;
  • 3+ years managing or supporting enterprise data or integration platforms in Azure;
  • Hands-on experience with Azure Data Factory, ADLS Gen2, and Databricks at scale;
  • 2+ years implementing DevOps pipelines and infrastructure automation; and
  • Experience in professional services, legal, or regulated industries preferred.
