Global Sr. Product Manager - AMR (Automated Mobile Robots)
The Sr. Product Manager for AMR (Automated Mobile Robots) will develop new products and solutions, implement pricing strategies and product positioning using value-based methodologies, commercialize the product launch and manage the portfolio going forward. The Sr. Product Manager will develop a deep understanding of the market including applications, competitors and customer needs. They will utilize that market knowledge to identify growth opportunities and develop winning solutions. The Sr. Product Manager will also need to effectively communicate with key internal stakeholders and influence other functional teams such as sales, service, engineering field operations, global supply, production, and marketing among others. This role will be accountable for achieving annual revenue growth and profit targets.
Key responsibilities & elements of the role include:
- Deep understanding of market dynamics including competition, trends, new technologies & pricing in order to inform appropriate decision making for the product line.
- Ability to analyze large sets of data and interpret into actionable information that will help in the management of current solutions as well as development of new solutions
- Work closely with customers to research and document product line needs for development of the product line roadmap
- Partner with sales & service leadership, sales, field admin, engineering and finance in the development of new solutions.
- Develop and implement growth strategies based on market needs in an effort to increase profitability of the product line.
- Portfolio lifecycle management with a strong emphasis on providing customer value while achieving margin goals.
- Collaborate with marketing to update and develop new collateral & tools to help drive awareness. Develop promotions, campaigns, and brand awareness of Tennant's organization and solutions.
- Globally define, develop and launch new solutions by partnering with global contacts
- Understand competitive pricing & programs as well as those within adjacent industries.
- Develop a pricing strategy on new solutions as well as manage annual price adjustments to expand margin and manage product positioning.
- Support supply chain, sourcing and operations manage and improve product quality.
Required Skills
- Self-starter, comfortable dealing with abstract or ambiguous problems independently
- Able to develop and communicate strategy and a vision of the future that inspires
- Experience managing change
- High level of business acumen and ability to spot market and business trends, pattern recognition, demonstrated history of delivering P&L results
- Cross-functional leadership - ability to lead complex projects involving global stakeholders across multiple functions and regions
- Team player with excellent negotiation and interpersonal skills
- Data analysis - ability to analyze data and recommend action based on the information
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel & PowerPoint, experience working in SAP desired
- Good Mechanical Aptitude & understanding of Operation and Value Stream Engineering
Required Experience
- Bachelor's degree in business/marketing is desired, Marketing/Business/MBA is preferred
- 10 years of professional work experience, preferably with an emphasis in product management
- Experience working with the cleaning industry
- Willingness to travel domestically & internationally - up to 20% of the time
- Successful track record for problem solving, idea generation and program execution
Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $129,800 - 201,100 Annualized
Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. Tennant Co. reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualifications of the selected candidate as well as internal and external equity.
Total Compensation = Base Salary + Benefits
