GENERAL PURPOSE Assembling upholstered furniture using various hand tools, and meeting quality standards. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Assemble products and/or related parts in a manufacturing setting at a standard rate of work based on customer demand and lean manufacturing principles to satisfy the customer and to provide high quality products delivered in a timely manner. The position follows standard work methods and practices safe work habits to ensure production is as efficient and safe as possible. Cross-training in other departments to learn additional functions is required. Solves problems with the assistance of other team members and seeks continuous improvement. Performs additional responsibilities as requested to achieve business objectives. Education/Experience One of the following is required: (1) High school diploma or its equivalent (GED for example), (2) work experience which demonstrates performance competency Skills and Abilities Competent in basic math skills such as counting, adding, and subtracting. Can communicate effectively. Ability to work cooperatively within the team as well as with members of other teams to meet goals. Demonstrated willingness to adapt to a continually changing environment.
