How you'll make an impact: You will be responsible for the operation and technical management of the systems in the Broadcast Operations Center which is a 24/7, 365 Broadcast Environment. What you'll do: Responsibilities include monitoring the quality of our service and addressing problems in real time across SiriusXM's satellite and streaming channels. You are responsible for control of systems which produce content for the broadcast channels including the playout, automation, scheduling, routing systems and audio file storage. You will respond to technical alarms from the various systems in the Broadcast Operations Center in real time as well as addressing the needs of channel programmers. (Talent and producers). You will directly interface with the Broadcast Control Center Shift Supervisors, the Broadcast Maintenance technical staff, Programming and Media Engineering. You should be willing to complete Incident Management tickets to the BCC Shift Supervisors for review and resolution. You will be asked to perform routine duties and tasks related to day-to-day operations. You will not be expected to handle supervisory responsibilities. What you'll need: * BS/BA Degree and/or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred. * Five or more years of experience in broadcast operations. * Availability to work day, evening and weekend shift work as required. * Familiarity with digital audio editing, quality control, broadcast automation and digital routing * Interpersonal skills and ability to interact and work with staff at all levels. * Excellent written and oral communication skills. * Ability to work independently and in a team environment. * Ability to pay attention to details and be organized. * Ability to project professionalism over the phone and in person. * Commitment to "internal client" and customer service principles. * Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. * Willingness to take initiative and to follow through with the shift supervisor. * Master control experience is a plus. * Creative writing ability. * Excellent time management skills, with the ability to prioritize and multi-task, and work under shifting deadlines in a fast-paced environment. * Spelling, grammar, proofreading and editing skills. * This position requires the use of information or access to hardware which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). As required by ITAR, to perform this position you must be a U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e., 'Green Card Holder'), Political Asylee, or Refugee. At SiriusXM, we carefully consider a wide range of factors when determining compensation, including your background and experience. These considerations can cause your compensation to vary. We expect the base salary for this position to be in the range of $67,000 to $95,000 and will depend on your skills, qualifications, and experience. Additionally, this role might be eligible for discretionary short-term and long-term incentives.
