Job Title: IT Director I - Technology Delivery
Location: Block 23
What you'll do: The Technology Delivery Director will lead the delivery of technology solutions leveraging partnerships with other technology teams (e.g. Architecture, Infrastructure, Engineering, and Support), business teams and leaders, strategic partners, and third-party technology providers. In support of the delivery of new or enhanced technology solutions the position will have direct or oversight responsibilities for technology engineering, application acquisition/development, quality assurance, and data management. This role works closely with product leaders across business teams to ensure the delivery and reliability of technology solutions is achieved. The position performs supervisory duties of department staff, coordinates coverage for all related responsibilities, and assists in establishing strategic and operational technology goals and objectives.
- Define and implement the technology delivery strategy in alignment with organizational goals, ensuring that projects meet business objectives, timelines and budgets.
- Oversee the end-to-end execution of multiple IT projects, ensuring proper resource allocation, risk management, and quality assurance. Provide guidance to project managers and delivery teams.
- Provide insight and guidance, and resolve escalated issues throughout the application development, implementation, and support lifecycle.
- Ability to lead, motivate and get the very best out of a team. Drive Employee development, retention, resource planning, talent management, performance management, and achieve a diverse and engaged workforce.
- Build and maintain partnerships to ensure technology team members understand business needs, functional specifications, and delivery solutions that align with business objectives and IT standards.
- Develop solutions across multiple IT capability domains (APIs and/or web services, Portals, Web /Mobile solutions, Azure services, BI).
- Provide rapid response and restoration of production faults (including problem resolution and Correction of Error) in partnership with the Application Support team.
- Manage robust, reliable, secure and scalable systems on premise or in the cloud.
- Encourage a continuous improvement culture to improve the efficiency, scalability, stability, and security of applications.
- Acts as a senior point of escalation to troubleshoot, report, and resolve technology operational issues.
- Provides oversight, problem-solving and participation in complex infrastructure implementations, system upgrades, and architectural troubleshooting.
- Implements risk management processes to proactively identify and mitigate technology security threats and establish operational controls that contain risk within the overall risk tolerance of the bank.
- Collaborate with external vendors and partners to ensure effective service delivery, negotiate contracts, and ensure the third-party solutions meet the company's quality standards and timelines.
What you'll need:
- 10+ years as a senior technology leader with broad knowledge across a diversity of business and technology functions.
10+ years' experience in a role overseeing technology delivery, software development in an agile environment, project management, project financial budgets, IT consulting, or related field. Bachelor's degree in related field required. - Previous leadership experience required.
Experience in financial services lending and cards industry with proven regulatory and compliance discipline. Hands on experience managing complex hybrid cloud technology solutions (Azure, AWS) with 24/7 high-availability multi-site operating environment, application hosting, security and information protection, and disaster recovery architectures. Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate complex issues to technical and non-technical audiences and senior business management. Proven ability to build strong partnerships with business, operations, technology leadership, 3rd party providers and ability to work effectively in a matrix organization. Strong knowledge and experience working on project(s) involving the implementation of solutions applying software development life cycle (SDLC). Experience with Core Banking platforms and providers, mobile and digital platforms, lending and payment systems. Intermediate to advanced knowledge of applicable regulatory and legal compliance obligations, rules and regulations, industry standards and practices.- Expert speaking and writing communication skills.
- May require up to 25% travel.
