Estimated annual base pay:

Level II: $80,480 (minimum) - $100,600 (midpoint) - $120,720 (maximum)

Level III: $98,400 (minimum) - $123,000 (midpoint) - $147,600 (maximum)

Are you ready to make your mark? If you're a Test Engineer, we have an exciting opportunity for you!

The Level 2 or Level 3 Test Engineer reports to Technical Leadership and whose focus is performing design and support of moderate to high complexity test systems and equipment, mentoring to other Engineers and supporting process improvements. This position works under a moderate to low level of supervision. Independent technical decisions on work are covered by precedents; this position seeks direction/guidance on novel or controversial problems. In addition, this position may participate in project-specific relationship building with Customers, Suppliers, individuals or organizations.

What you will be doing...

  • Task Execution: Completes assigned tasks, coordinates with other departments, and identifies problems beyond their expertise while learning from experts.

  • Engineering Practices: Uses conventional engineering standards to design, test, and improve low-to-moderate complexity systems and equipment.

  • Test System Development: Designs, supports, and fabricates test systems; ensures testability, reliability, and participates in new product test requirement evaluations.

  • Process Improvements: Contributes to process improvements on projects and provides repair or maintenance support for test systems.

  • Specialized Skills: Applies discipline-specific expertise (Electrical, Mechanical, or Computer Engineering) for design, analysis, software development, or component testing and integration.

  • Documentation & Training: Compiles and updates program documentation and provides training for production technicians or guidance to users.

  • Software & Tools: Proficient with software tools such as editors, compilers, debuggers, and modeling or design applications; ensures hardware/software integration and unit testing.

  • Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of physical systems, manufacturing processes, component testing, instrumentation calibration, and tolerance stack-ups.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Works across diverse product lines (e.g., motors, sensors, electromechanical systems) and international/multi-site projects.

  • Communication & Time Management: Demonstrates solid written/verbal communication, technical writing, problem-solving, and effective time management skills.

What we are looking for...

  • Education: Bachelor's Degree (BA/BS) required.

  • Certifications: Professional certifications are a plus.

  • Programming Skills: Proficiency in Python, C, and C++; experience with LabVIEW.

  • Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including software, electrical, and mechanical engineers, as well as technicians.

  • Technical Expertise: Strong coding and computer skills are essential.

  • Physical Requirements: Involves some physical tasks due to older mechanical test stands; candidates should be comfortable performing light physical work.
