See Yourself as The Vice President, Infrastructure and Operations

The Vice President, Infrastructure and Operations is accountable for the effective and efficient delivery of all internal and third-party managed information technology infrastructure and operations solutions, including the development of technical architecture strategy and supporting InfoSec requirements, new technologies, and capacity planning and operational and service management processes to ensure delivery of IT services 24/7, 365 days a year. As a member of the IT leadership team, contributes to the development and execution of the enterprise-wide IT strategy and ensures its alignment with the enterprise's business strategy and delivery of capabilities required to achieve business success. The role collaborates closely with other key departments including information security, audit, procurement, and finance.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

  • Set the mission and vision of the Infrastructure and Operations organization to foster a business-oriented culture and mindset driven by continual service improvement techniques.

  • Lead the development of the Infrastructure and Operations strategy and roadmap and ensure its integration with the overall IT and enterprise strategic plans.

  • Work with the IT leadership team on the service portfolio and governance required to prioritize resources.

  • Act as a trusted advisor and build and maintain relationships with other IT leaders and business executives to develop a clear understanding of business needs; ensure cost-effective delivery of IT services to meet those needs and is able to respond with agility to changing business priorities.

  • Develop and control the annual operating and capital expenditure budget for Infrastructure and Operations to ensure it is consistent with the overall strategic objectives of IT and the enterprise and is within plan.

  • Remain current on new technologies and platforms and provides direction on what emerging technologies should be assimilated, integrated, and introduced within the business unit to ensure IT capabilities respond to the needs of the enterprise's business strategy; champion the unit's involvement in the IT organization's innovation efforts and its role in experimenting with new solutions to take advantage of business opportunities.

  • Work with the People Team and the IT leadership team to develop strategy that aligns with the business and IT strategy; continually look for leading-edge and innovative solutions in the recruitment, development and retention of the Infrastructure and Operations workforce.

  • Provide strategic direction and oversight for the design, development, operation, and support of IT systems that fulfill the needs of the business, including the full life cycle of technical architecture, infrastructure engineering, infrastructure operations, and IT service support.

  • Lead a team of 5-10 direct reports and 75+ indirect employees and contractors across multiple geographical locations.

  • Perform other duties as assigned or apparent.

QUALIFICATIONS

Basic Education and Prior Work-Related Experience:

Degree Requirement:

  • Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent Experience

Work Experience:

  • 10+ years of prior work-related experience

Additional Qualifications:

  • 10-15 years working in IT operations and infrastructure across a national organization.

  • Demonstrated experience in building strong relationships with the business.

  • Preferably five or more years of experience in large, cross-functional teams, influencing senior-level management and key stakeholders effectively across the organization and within complex contexts.

  • Demonstrated experience in strategic planning, organization design, and development.

  • Proven experience or demonstrated capability in leading IT transformational initiatives in complex and dynamic environments preferred.

  • Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to develop and communicate a vision that inspires and motivates staff and aligns to the IT and business strategy; collaborates and partners well with other departments.

  • Excellent analytical, strategic, conceptual thinking, strategic planning, and execution skills.

  • Demonstrated ability to develop and execute a strategic people plan that ensures the right people are in the right roles at the right time and that employees are highly engaged and satisfied.

  • Ability to drive organizational change and build infrastructure capabilities that effectively balance the need to continuously evolve organizational efficiency with the need to deliver innovative and agile infrastructure and operational solutions to enable the business to explore new opportunities.

  • Proficient at remotely building a high performing team.

  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills, including the ability to explain technical concepts and technologies to business leader, and business concepts to the Infrastructure and Operations team.

  • Effective influencing and negotiation skills in an environment where resources may not be in the position's direct control.

  • Strong vendor management and partner relation skills to identify and leverage resources internal and external to the Organization, enhancing capabilities that support our businesses.

  • Must be able to function efficiently and effectively in a fast-paced and competitive working environment.

  • Competitive Compensation:anticipated base salary from $151,175 to $248,355 based on skills and experience. This position is eligible to participate in an annual incentive program and a long-term incentive program.
