Advanced Systems Administration Specialist

$62.00-$65.00 per hour

As an Advanced Systems Administration Specialist, you'll serve as a front-line interface to users with technical issues by conducting systems analysis and development to keep systems current with changing technologies. Your duties may include installing new software, troubleshooting issues, working with Active Directory for account administration, Group Policy, DNS, WSUS and training users. You'll also be responsible for the day-to-day support of server services by performing server administration for physical and virtual server operating systems and building, configuring, maintaining, and troubleshooting of physical and virtual hardware and network related interfaces on servers. You will also be responsible for all ConMon and compliance activities for servers & workstations. You'll perform OS and vendor software patching on servers and monitor physical and virtual servers' performance using monitoring tools. You will be expected apply STIG's, run SCAP and/or Nessus scans.

Knowledge of the following will be required: LINUX, Active Directory, SCAP, and STIG compliance

Knowledge of the following will be extremely beneficial: Windows Server 2016/ 2019, Windows 10/11, DNS, Group Policy, WSUS, Exchange, SharePoint, Nessus, Splunk and various software products such as Adobe, Skype, etc.

Required Skills:

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science.
• Minimum 5 years of experience with LINUX, Active Directory, SCAP, and STIG compliance.
• Minimum 5 years of experience with server-based operating systems
• Minimum 5 years of experience in creating and running scripts to automate repetitive processes

Preferred Skills:

• Master's Degree
• Windows Server 2016/ 2019, Windows 10/11, DNS, Group Policy, WSUS, Exchange, SharePoint, Nessus, Splunk, and various software products such as Adobe, Skype.
• Enhanced troubleshooting skills within the server OS, as well as both networking and storage technologies

Additional Information:

• Upon offer of employment, the individual will be subject to a background check and a drug screen.
