Attractive pay

$110,000 - $130,000

Responsibilities

As the SR SQL Developer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining complex database solutions, as well as mentoring junior developers.

  • Designs, develops, and maintains databases to meet business requirements.
  • Develops complex stored procedures, functions, and scripts to optimize database performance and ensure data integrity.
  • Designs and implements ETL/ELT solutions to meet business needs.
  • Collaborates with data architects, business analysts, and other stakeholders to gather requirements and design scalable database solutions.
  • Serves as subject matter expert (SME) for data architecture and ingestion/processing.
  • Conducts performance tuning and optimization of SQL queries and database structures.
  • Ensures data security and compliance with best practices and regulatory requirements.
  • Mentors and provides technical guidance to junior SQL Server developers.
  • Participates in code reviews, provide feedback, and enforce coding standards.
  • Maintains a current knowledge of data solution trends, best practices and supporting technologies.
  • Complies with policies, procedures and regulatory mandates including but not limited to abiding to the terms of the Amedisys Compliance Program.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Required:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Seven (7+) years of experience in SQL development, including extensive experience with SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS), Azure Data Factory, or other ETL/ELT platforms.
  • Experience with performance tuning and query optimization.
  • Experience mentoring junior developers and leading technical projects.
Preferred:
  • Knowledge of other Microsoft technologies such as Power BI and Fabric.
  • Familiarity with Python and/or Google BigQuery.
  • Experience with version control systems like Git.
  • Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.
  • Healthcare experience preferred
