Work Shift:

12hr-B Shift (United States of America) The Industrial Equipment Supervisor will oversee the maintenance and automation of all industrial equipment within the Plant. This role involves managing a team of technicians, implementing preventive maintenance programs, and driving automation initiatives to enhance productivity and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:
* Team Leadership:
o Lead, mentor, and manage a team of industrial equipment technicians.
o Foster a positive work environment that encourages teamwork, safety, and continuous improvement.
* Maintenance Management:
o Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules to minimize equipment downtime.
o Ensure timely troubleshooting and repair of equipment to maintain optimal production levels.
o Oversee maintenance records and ensure accurate documentation of all maintenance activities.
* Automation Initiatives:
o Collaborate with engineering and production teams to identify automation opportunities.
o Implement automation solutions that improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance product quality.
o Stay updated on the latest automation technologies and recommend upgrades as necessary.
* Safety and Compliance:
o Ensure all maintenance activities comply with safety regulations and company policies.
o Conduct regular safety audits and training sessions to promote a culture of safety.
* Vendor and Inventory Management:
o Manage relationships with equipment vendors and service providers to ensure high-quality support.
o Oversee inventory of spare parts and maintenance supplies, ensuring availability when needed.
* Reporting and Communication:
o Prepare and present reports on equipment performance, maintenance activities, and automation projects to plant leadership.
o Communicate effectively with other departments to coordinate maintenance and automation efforts.

Job Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

* Strong leadership skills with experience in managing and developing technical teams.
* In-depth knowledge of industrial automation systems, PLC programming, and robotics.
* Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to make quick, informed decisions under pressure.
* Familiarity with safety standards and regulations in industrial settings.
* Proficiency in maintenance management software and data analysis tools.
* Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
* Ability to work flexible hours and respond to emergency situations as needed.
* Knowledge of the plastics industry, equipment and processes is a plus.

Education/Experience

* Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field preferred.
* Proven experience (3+ years) in industrial equipment maintenance and/or automation within the plastic industry.

Work Environment

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The noise level in the work environment and job site can be loud. Employee could be exposed to seasonal weather conditions if required to go outdoors. Proper use of PPE is required in Production area at all times.

Physical Demands

* Ability to perform a standing job for 12 consecutive hours.
* Remain stationary extended periods of time.
* Move around the production floor.
* Move, adjust, and position anywhere from 10 to 45 pounds.
* Identify, recognize and assess documents, machinery and more.
* Must be able to walk, bend, kneel, stoop, climb, reach and grasp for varying periods of time during a consecutive 12-hour period.
* Ability to move between buildings regardless of weather conditions.
