Job Description:

The Chief Academic Officer/Director of Institutional Operations (DIO) is responsible for the administrative oversight and management of the Graduate Medical Education (GME interns, residents, and fellows) programs and activities. GME programs across multiple hospitals within the Valley Health System are subject to the oversight responsibility of this position.


Qualifications

Shift: FULL TIME VARIED

Education:

Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) or PHD

Experience:

The Chief Academic Officer/Director of Institutional Operations must possess the documented educational and administrative abilities necessary to carry out the responsibilities of the role and to achieve the goals and objectives of the program. Demonstrate clinical competence as a practicing physician. 5-7 years of GME experience required.

License/Certification:

The Chief Academic Officer/Director of Institutional Operations must possess the documented educational and administrative abilities necessary to carry out the responsibilities of the role and to achieve the goals and objectives of the program. Demonstrate clinical competence as a practicing physician. 5-7 years of GME experience required.

Other:

Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills, be detail oriented, and handle multiple projects/tasks simultaneously.
