We are currently seeking a skilled and motivated* Cable Technician* to join our growing Telecommunications team and support our clients' network infrastructure across the Greater Nashville Area. *Position Overview* As a Cable Technician, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting low-voltage systems, including CAT6 cabling, security systems, and telecommunications infrastructure. You'll play a key role in ensuring the reliability and performance of our clients' network systems. *Key Responsibilities* * Pull, run, and terminate CAT6 cables for data and power distribution. * Install, maintain, and repair low-voltage electrical systems in commercial settings. * Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams. * Install and program security systems, A/V systems, and telecom equipment. * Test and troubleshoot cabling systems to ensure optimal performance. * Ensure all installations comply with local and national electrical codes. * Collaborate with clients and project teams to implement network solutions. * Maintain accurate documentation of installations, repairs, and configurations. * Provide excellent customer service and support during and after installations. * Participate in on-call rotations for after-hours emergency support as needed. *Qualifications* * High school diploma or GED required; associate degree or technical certification preferred. * 1+ years of experience in low-voltage/electrical systems in commercial environments. * Proven experience with CAT6 cable installation and termination. * Familiarity with network cabling hardware and installation techniques. * Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills. * Ability to read and interpret technical diagrams and blueprints. * Excellent communication and customer service skills. * Valid driver's license and reliable transportation. *Preferred Skills* * Knowledge of local and national electrical codes and regulations. * Experience with security systems, fire alarms, and A/V installations. * Ability to work independently and as part of a team. * Strong attention to detail and time management. * What We Offer* * Competitive salary. * Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance. * 401(k) plan with company matching. * Ongoing training and professional development. * Career advancement opportunities. * Collaborative and inclusive work environment. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
