Under direct supervision the Operating Room Anesthesia Assistants provide general support to Anesthesia and Nursing staff in the Operating Room. Activities focus on maintaining a safe, hazard free, clean environment that facilitates patient focused care. OR Anesthesia Assistants handle equipment and supplies, clean and decontaminate Anesthesia Equipment and may help RN's with other duties as assigned. Assists Anesthesiologists by processing anesthesia instruments, providing equipment, and restocking supplies and medications. Requires detail oriented person that has ability to multitask and have critical thinking skills to assist Anesthesia personnel during crisis.

Required Qualifications:



  • Upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association
  • 1 year External candidates must have one year clinical experience in a hospital or equivalent.
  • Internal candidates must have equivalent competencies of an Operating Room Assistant II.


Preferred Qualifications:



  • Coursework/Training Completed training as a Certified Nursing Assistant.
