Job Description

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Performs all operations of the bonderizing line to maintain the flow of parts to the cold line presses

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:




  • Performs precise chemical checks on all the bonderizing line dip tanks
  • Has Knowledge of all chemicals used in the dip tanks
  • Performs 5S duties
  • Operates a forklift to load and unload the line with parts and to move, refill line with chemicals
  • Fills out all appropriate paperwork for the line
  • Keeps the line supplied with and adds chemicals when needed
  • Responsible for keeping the parts properly identified thru tagging
  • Performs general maintenance on the line
  • Performs the cleaning of the dip tanks on dump day
  • Responsible for following all company policies and procedures
  • Must follow all work instructions pertaining to NDI
  • Uses a computer with JDE installed for tracking and tagging of the parts from the line



REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, EDUCATION, AND ABILITIES:




  • Requires 1-3 years of manufacturing experience.
  • Must be able to do or learn to do chemical checks on dip tanks.
  • Must be able to drive a forklift.
  • Familiarity with outer race part numbers and racking systems is a plus.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • High school diploma
  • Must have some general computer knowledge

PHYSICAL LIMITATIONS:



  • Lift and Carry: Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally
  • Standing & Walking: Ability to stand for extended periods and walk long distances, often on concrete or uneven surfaces and up and down steps.
  • Repetitive Motion: Capable of performing repetitive tasks, including grasping, lifting, twisting and bending.
  • Hand-eye coordination: Ability to use hands and fingers to handle and feel objects, tools, and controls and make quick, precise adjustments to machine controls.
  • Fine Motor Skills: Ability to use manual dexterity to operate levers, buttons, and controls
  • Vision & Attention to Detail: good close, distance, and peripheral vision, as well as the ability to adjust focus and ensure safe operations, including reading gauges and safety indicators.
  • Physical Stamina: Ability to maintain focus and physical energy throughout the workday, which may include handling loads, stacking, and organizing materials in a fast-paced environment.
  • Balance & Mobility: Must have good balance and be able to move freely in tight spaces.
  • Environmental Conditions: Ability to work in various conditions including varying temperatures, exposure to manufacturing oils and fluids and moderate noise levels.
