You will be based in Anderson, SC. This shift will start at 3:00 pm and end 11:30 pm.

Summary:

The Machine Operator is responsible for performing lockout/tagout procedures and operating equipment safely and efficiently in the Pre-Assembly areas. This role ensures compliance with safety standards, particularly regarding equipment shutdown and pull-point force limits.

Your main tasks:

  • Perform Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures as required.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of proper shutdown processes and safe startup practices.
  • Operate machinery within the Pre-Assembly areas while ensuring all safety protocols are followed.
  • Maintain control and documentation of LOTO keys and devices.
  • Ensure equipment pull points do not exceed 2.5 lbs. of force in accordance with safety standards.
  • Collaborate with maintenance and safety teams to resolve equipment issues.
  • Follow all site-specific safety procedures and manufacturing guidelines.

Qualifications:

  • Working knowledge of Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures.
  • Ability to operate machinery safely and efficiently.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
  • Mechanical aptitude preferred.

Physical Demands:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to operate small tools. The employee is required to stand. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, and ability to adjust focus.
