$5,612 - $6,821/Monthly*

Starting salary $32.27/hour ($67,351/year) and a competitive total compensation package!*

As a Parks and Grounds Maintenance Worker II, you will perform various construction, maintenance, and repair tasks. You are responsible for; performing landscaping duties, such; as pruning, mowing, planting, weeding, and installing and repairing irrigation systems. As a Parks & Grounds Maintenance Worker II, you will help maintain Sonoma County Regional parks, grounds, bike trails, buildings, and marinas for the betterment of our community, Additionally, you will coordinate and conduct safety and skills training for other Parks Maintenance Workers and may act as a lead worker on special projects.


An ideal candidate, you will thrive working in a fast-paced environment, be able to shift-gears quickly, and possess many of the following:

  • Multiple years of experience working in landscaping, construction and performing grounds maintenance
  • Experience using mowers, string trimmers, chainsaws, and blowers
  • Experience towing trailers, operating front loaders and skid steers, or other heavy equipment
  • Knowledge of plants and irrigation timer programming
  • The ability to establish and grow effective working relationships with staff, volunteers, and the public
  • Sound judgment and the ability to make independent decisions
  • Problem solving skills and the ability to be a self-motivator
  • A passion for maintaining nature, providing excellent customer service and assisting others in the community
