Job Description JOB OBJECTIVE: The HR Generalist will lead and manage people-centric programs that foster engagement, strengthen organizational culture, and support business goals through seamless HR operations. This role will collaborate closely with leadership to foster a positive and inclusive workplace culture while managing onboarding, offboarding, employee engagement, performance management, recruitment, and other people-centric processes. This role will also include direct supervision of one team member, requiring strong people management skills, the ability to provide coaching and feedback, and a commitment to employee development. CORE DUTIES: People Management 1. Supervise and support a direct report, providing regular feedback, coaching, and opportunities for development. 2. Conduct performance check-ins, goal setting, and career conversations in alignment with organizational values and objectives. Onboarding & Offboarding 1. Design and manage engaging onboarding experiences for new hires. 2. Coordinate welcome kits, kickoff meetings, first-day logistics, and culture introductions. 3. Conduct offboarding tasks including exit interviews, equipment collection, and access elimination. 4. Develop onboarding plans and gather feedback on the onboarding experience to support continuous improvement. Employee Engagement 1. Develop and manage employee engagement surveys. 3. Coordinate employee recognition and appreciation programs. 5. Benchmark employee experience programs against industry best practices. Performance Management 1. Partner with employees and managers to facilitate regular performance conversations, providing guidance and support. 2. Coach managers on performance conversations. 3. Oversee the annual performance review process, ensuring timely completion and alignment with company goals. 4. Develop and implement performance improvement plans when necessary. Culture & Belonging 1. Support equity, inclusion, and belonging (EIB) initiatives. 2. Act as a culture ambassador, facilitating communication between employees and leadership. Communication 1. Organize and facilitate company meetings. 2. Serve as the main liaison between Promega HR and Terso Solutions HR. Confidential Feedback & Employee Voice 1. Serve as a safe, approachable outlet for employees to share concerns, suggestions, or feedback confidentially. 2. Partner with HR or Compliance to triage and address sensitive employee matters. 1. Owner of Bamboo HR, including workflow management, employee engagement, and administration. 2. Demonstrate openness to new technologies and AI-driven tools to streamline HR processes, enhance employee experience, and improve operational efficiency. 1. Demonstrates inclusion through their own words and actions and is accountable for a safe workspace. Acts with kindness, curiosity and respect for others. 2. Embracing and being open to incorporating Promega's 6 Emotional & Social Intelligence (ESI) core principles in daily work. 3. Understand and complies with ethical, legal and regulatory requirements applicable to our business. 2. 3+ years of experience managing core HR functions including recruitment, onboarding, employee performance, and employee engagement. 3. Strong interpersonal and communication skills for confidential conversations and handling sensitive employee matters. 4. Experience with onboarding, offboarding, performance management, and employee engagement programs is essential. 5. Experience in recruitment and talent acquisition. 6. Strong knowledge of HR practices and labor laws. 7. The ability to travel up to 10% including internationally. 2. Previous experience managing employee engagement programs or working closely with senior leadership. 3. Proven experience with Bamboo HR. PHYSICAL DEMANDS: 1. Ability to communicate with employees via phone, video, e-mail and in person. 3. Ability occasionally to move/lift boxes weighing up to 30 lbs. 4.
