Summary:
The Facilities Manager is responsible for the day to operations of the Memorial Hospital Facilities Management Department. Directly reporting to the Maine Health Senior Director of Engineering while supporting and collaborating with Memorial's leadership team to effectively achieve the Hospital's Maine Health goals. Management activities will encompass approximately 40% of the total time; direct service activities will encompass approximately 60% of the total work time. Coordinates programs to maintain and repair buildings, grounds and equipment in accordance with all Life Safety and other appropriate regulatory requirements, and to procure and/or generate all utilities and maintain their distribution systems. Coordinates these activities with other departments to ensure timely, safe, and efficient operation of the Organization. The Facilities Manager must possess strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and perform job duties in a safe, professional manner.

Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)

  1. Education: Post-secondary education in electrical or mechanical field or equivalent experience required.
  2. License/Certifications: 4th class Stationary Engineers License required. Valid Driver's license.
  3. Experience: See "Education". Three to five (3-5) years in the hospital or service field.
  4. Ability to use basic computer functions Outlook, Microsoft Office, and generate reports.
  5. Strong knowledge of regulatory codes and compliance related to healthcare to include CMS, Local, State, and Federal authorities.
