Job Overview

The Director of Contracts & Quality Control, Planning and Facilities Management - Georgetown University, leads the oversight and performance management of key Facilities contracts, including pest control, elevator services, and the Work Management Center. This role ensures all service providers meet operational, quality, and customer service expectations through strategic contract management and continuous quality assurance.

Duties include but are not limited to:
  • Manage and monitor contractor performance and service quality.
  • Oversee daily operations of the Work Management Center.
  • Serve as liaison with vendors to coordinate services and address performance concerns.
  • Manage internal reporting and CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) data for facilities-related service calls and performance metrics.
  • Lead and supervise staff, including performance evaluations and development planning.
  • Coordinate after-hours and emergency response service continuity.


Work Interactions

This position reports directly to the Assistant Vice President of Facilities and Residential Services. The Director works closely with other senior Facilities leadership, including Directors of Maintenance, Custodial & Grounds, Facilities Services, and Transportation. The role supervises four direct reports including a Maintenance Coordinator, Deferred Maintenance Coordinator, and a Project Manager for the Calcagnini Contemplative Center. The Director serves as the primary point of contact for external contractors and vendors, ensuring alignment between Facilities services and Georgetown University's mission and operational standards.

Requirements and Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Facilities, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent years of experience and education)
  • Practical Experience: Minimum of seven (7) years of experience in facilities operations, with at least four (4) years in a supervisory role.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite; knowledge of Computer Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) preferred.
  • Additional Skills: Strong customer service orientation, written and verbal communication skills, and ability to operate in a fast-paced, emergency response environment.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license or be willing to obtain one.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience managing elevator and pest control contracts and associated compliance and inspection programs.
  • Familiarity with asset condition audits and property management reporting.

Pay Range:

The projected salary or hourly pay range for this position which represents the full range of anticipated compensation is:
$80,429.00 - $157,238.93

Compensation is determined by a number of factors including, but not limited to, the candidate's individual qualifications, experience, education, skills, and certifications, as well as the University's business needs and external factors.
