Job Title : Brake Press Operator
Salary : 18-22/hour
Shift : 1 st Shift - 5:00am - 3:30 pm , M-F
Summar y : We are looking for a skilled and dependable Brake Press Operator / Setup to join our Fabrication Department. This role is responsible for setting up and operating Cincinnati Press Brakes equipped with 5-axis back gauges and laser safeguarding systems. The operator will bend, shape, and form metal components to precise specifications using both CNC and manual controls. Ideal candidates will have a strong background in fabrication, blueprint reading, and precision forming.
Job Responsibilities:
  • Set up and operate Cincinnati Brake Presses with 5-axis back gauges and laser safety systems.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, part drawings, and work orders to determine machine setup and bending sequence.
  • Select and install correct tooling, dies, and punches according to job specifications.
  • Perform initial part inspections and regular in-process checks using precision measuring tools.
  • Adjust machine settings to ensure accurate and consistent production results.
  • Work with a variety of metals including steel, stainless steel, and aluminum.
  • Accurately complete production and quality documentation.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work area and follow all plant safety procedures and policies.
  • Assist with equipment maintenance and troubleshooting when needed.
  • Communicate effectively with supervisors, engineers, and team members to resolve issues and maintain workflow.
Qualifications / Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Strong work ethic and excellent attendance
  • 2+ years prior brake press operator experience preferred
  • Strong orientation towards quality, safety and continuous improvement
  • Competent at dimensional measuring and solid understanding of precision measurement tools
  • Competent at basic shop math
  • Able to read blueprints
  • Able to work as a team and coordinate work with other departments
