We're hiring a Senior Process Orchestration Engineer to design and implement the connective tissue between our systems, data flows, and business processes. This is not your typical developer role. We're looking for a systems-minded engineer who's passionate about building automation, integrating technologies, and orchestrating seamless workflows across platforms. You'll work closely with IT, data, business teams and external parties to streamline workflows, reduce manual effort, and improve visibility across the enterprise. SKILLS

What You'll Do

Design & Engineering

  • Design and implement automated workflows that connect systems, data, and teams
  • Develop lightweight scripts and integrations (Python, PowerShell, Bash, etc.)
  • Own and evolve GEHA's orchestration platforms (Control-M on-prem and SaaS)
  • Monitor and troubleshoot data and process flows across systems

Process & Strategy

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to map and optimize business processes
  • Evaluate and recommend tools for orchestration and automation
  • Serve as a technical advisor across departments on integration and process design

Enablement & Support

  • Document workflows and provide training/support to internal teams
  • Participate in an occasional on-call rotation to support mission-critical systems

Who You Are

  • A connector-comfortable communicating across technical and non-technical teams
  • Adaptable and eager to experiment with new tools and frameworks
  • Proactive-you don't wait for problems, you anticipate and prevent them
  • Excited by the idea of making complex systems simpler and smarter

What You Bring

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years in IT, systems integration, or automation roles
  • Strong scripting or automation skills (PowerShell, Python, etc.)
  • Experience with workflow automation tools or iPaaS platforms
  • Familiarity with APIs, webhooks, and data formats (JSON, XML, etc.)
  • Familiarity with Azure DevOps pipelines
  • Familiarity with ITIL practices and security best practices
  • A systems mindset-you see the big picture and how things connect
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills

Bonus

  • AZ-900 certification
  • Familiarity with Azure development tools (Azure Data Factory, Synapse, Snowflake or Data Bricks)
  • Experience in healthcare, insurance, or regulated industries

Work-at-home requirements

  • Must have the ability to provide a non-cellular High Speed Internet Service such as Fiber, DSL, or cable Modems for a home office.
  • A minimum standard speed for optimal performance of 30x5 (30mpbs download x 5mpbs upload) is required.
  • Latency (ping) response time lower than 80 ms
  • Hotspots, satellite and wireless internet service is NOT allowed for this role.
  • A dedicated space lacking ongoing interruptions to protect member PHI / HIPAA information

Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. GEHA considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as, market and business considerations when extending an offer.

The annual base salary range for this position is $106,472 - $150,088 USD.
