As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will play a key role in helping to deter security-related incidents and maintaining a secure environment within a government location. Your responsibilities will include conducting routine patrols, remaining highly visible to help deter unwanted activity, and responding promptly to incidents as they arise. You will interact with the public and staff, providing exceptional customer service and clear communication while upholding the highest standards of professionalism. Pay Rate: $21.50 / Hour

Job Schedule:

What You'll Do:

Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential issues.
• Monitor for suspicious activity and report any irregularities or security-related concerns according to established protocols.
• Interact with visitors, staff, and/or members of the public in a courteous and professional manner while upholding security-related standards.
• Maintain awareness of surroundings and remain alert to potential threats or hazards within the location.
• Complete required documentation and incident reports accurately and in a timely manner.
• Collaborate with law enforcement and/or emergency responders as needed during incidents or emergencies.
• Carry and maintain proficiency with assigned firearms and other security-related equipment in accordance with company and site-specific requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

• Must have at least 1 year of experience in armed security-related, law enforcement, or military roles.
• Must possess a valid armed guard card or license as required by state and/or local regulations.
• An armed guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security-related training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
