Salary range:
The salary range for this position is $655,870 - $786,466. The posted UC salary scales set the minimum pay determined by rank and step at appointment. See Professorial Series (Adjunct, Clinical X, HS Clinical, In Residence, Ladder Rank) and Professor of Teaching Series - Health Sciences Compensation Plan. This position includes membership in the health sciences compensation plan, which provides for eligibility for additional compensation. Application Window Open date: July 7, 2025 Next review date: Thursday, Aug 7, 2025 at 11:59pm (Pacific Time) Final date: Tuesday, Jul 7, 2026 at 11:59pm (Pacific Time) Position description The Department of Neurological Surgery at the University of California, Irvine is seeking a board eligible/certified neurosurgeon in the subspecialty of open vascular neurosurgery for all ranks in the non-tenure track Health Sciences Clinical Professor Series ( Assistant, Associate, Full Professor) and all ranks in the Professor of Clinical "X" Series (Assistant, Associate, Full Professor). Salary will commensurate with experience and qualifications. Criteria for the Professor of Clinical "X" Series All ranks will be expected to have a record of substantial research; lead or have significant intellectual and substantive contribution to a research program and/or be involved in other creative activities. Creative activity may be highly integrated into clinical activities. May include clinical-translational projects, health services/health outcomes research, case series, educational scholarship, or bench research. Criteria for the Health Sciences Series Professor Series Clinicians interested in pursuing an academic career with expertise in open vascular neurosurgery subspecialty will be given the opportunity to grow in a dynamic department. This subspecialty will be part of the UCI Health's growing cerebrovascular and stroke program.
