As a Staff Designer on the Design Systems team, you'll help lead the definition of the standards, guidelines, and reusable components that help our teams create consistent and user-friendly user interfaces. You will be responsible for the continued evolvution of our Design System, providing The Trade Desk with a single source of truth (SSOT) for our teams to reference and share the verified and vetted componentry and guidelines needed to streamline workflows, improve collaboration, and increase speed and efficiency. What we do: TTD User Experience (UX) brings together skilled teams of UX Designers, Researchers, and Writers. Our role is pivotal in understanding user behaviors and shaping our products. We collaborate closely with engineering and product management to craft products that not only serve users but also contribute to TTD's success. As a UX Designer, you'll use user-centered design methods to create engaging user experiences from concept to execution. Working in close collaboration with your partners, you'll play a pivotal role in building innovative products that empower our users and transform the digital advertising industry. What you'll do: * Lead the development and evolution of our design system and frameworks, ensuring consistency and scalability of design elements and patterns across the platform. * Oversee the definition of complex work across teams, amplify impact through other people, and proactively seek and create opportunities to be effective beyond your own team * Champion a user-centered design approach, passionately understanding and advocating for the needs and preferences of our users. * Contribute to planning and vision on key company initiatives by collaborating with product managers, engineers and researchers. * Develop and implement design concepts by creating user flows, and interactive prototypes, developing intuitive and efficient user interfaces aligned with industry best practices. * Transform broad, conceptual ideas into valuable user experiences that seamlessly blend functionality with ease-of-use. * Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers, engineers, and fellow designers, to bring designs to life and ensure cohesive, consistent experiences. * Own the entire design process, including interaction and visual design, for complex features. * Support the planning and execution of usability testing sessions, gathering valuable feedback from users and iterating on designs based on user insights. * Provide implementation guidance to engineers, ensuring features maintain high quality and alignment with the design vision. * Stay informed about industry trends and emerging technologies to ensure our designs remain innovative and competitive. Who you are: * Bachelor's or Master's degree in relevant field or equivalent experience. * 8+ years of professional UX Design experience. * Proficiency in Figma. * Experienced working across organizational boundaries and collaborating with cross-functional teams. * Seasoned collaborator, working closely with team leads and stakeholders to ensure we're focused on the appropriate solutions that deliver positive impact and value to our customers The Trade Desk does not accept unsolicited resumes from search firm recruiters. The actual amount may differ based on non-discriminatory factors such as experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, and location. All employees may be eligible to become The Trade Desk shareholders through eligibility for stock-based compensation grants, which are awarded to employees based on company and individual performance. The Trade Desk also offers other compensation depending on the role such as sales-based incentives and commissions. Plus, expected benefits for this role include comprehensive healthcare (medical, dental, and vision) with premiums paid in full for employees and dependents, retirement benefits such as a 401k plan and company match, short and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance, well-being benefits, reimbursement for certain tuition expenses, parental leave, sick time of 1 hour per 30 hours worked, vacation time for full-time employees up to 120 hours thru the first year and 160 hours thereafter, and around 13 paid holidays per year.
