As a Security Professional - Access Control - Afternoon Shift in Hollister, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom and more .

As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal, you will play a key role in supporting a secure environment within a dynamic tech, media, and telecom location. Your responsibilities will include monitoring entry and exit points, verifying credentials, and managing badge access to help to deter unauthorized activity. You will conduct routine patrols throughout the assigned area, remain highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and provide outstanding customer service to all visitors and staff. Your ability to communicate clearly and respond promptly to situations will be essential in maintaining a welcoming and secure atmosphere. Job Schedule:

What You'll Do:

Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Monitor and control access to the location, verifying credentials and granting entry to authorized individuals in accordance with site-specific policies.
• Provide customer service by assisting visitors and employees with security-related inquiries and directions.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the premises and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential security-related concerns.
• Document and report security-related incidents, observations, and activities as required by site protocols.
• Support emergency response activities as directed, maintaining communication with Allied Universal management and site contacts.
• Collaborate with site personnel to address security-related needs and maintain a secure environment for all occupants.

Minimum Requirements:

• CPR certification is preferred.
• A valid Guard Card or license is preferred.
• Experience with access control and/or badge systems is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
