Job Summary:

The Procurement Operations & Risk Leader drives the adoption of technology and data-driven methods to streamline procurement processes, elevating decision-making quality and stakeholder experiences. Leads, mentors, and develops a high-performing team of five procurement and vendor risk management professionals, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement across procurement and cross-functional teams. Demonstrating critical transformation and leadership abilities, the Leader partners closely with counterparts in Category Management and executive stakeholders in Finance, HR, IT, and Legal/Audit to align risk strategies and transactional procurement practices with shared objectives and long-term goals. They oversee the refinement and execution of the source-to-pay (S2P) lifecycle, including third-party due diligence, ensuring efficiency and compliance. The Leader also produces detailed analytical reports for board-level presentations, delivering data-driven insights that inform strategic decisions and highlight opportunities for process enhancements. Additionally, they accelerate digital transformation initiatives by guiding change management efforts, process re-engineering, and the successful deployment of new financial systems. Through strategic leadership and effective team development, the Leader enhances functional collaboration, delivers risk insights, and optimizes the procurement experience to drive improved business performance.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Drive the adoption of technology and data-driven approaches to streamline procurement and risk processes to improve decision-making quality and stakeholder experience.
  • Lead, mentor, develop and oversee the Procurement Operations and Third-Party Risk Management teams
  • Develop a digital mindset within the team, emphasizing continuous improvement, automation, and ensuring Policy requirements are met.
  • Collaborate with executive leadership counterparts in Sourcing & Category Management as well as corporate functions to achieve shared objectives.
  • Build and nurture relationships across business units and corporate functions to enhance the end-to-end Procurement experience.
  • Responsible for overseeing the administration, and refinement of all procurement technology at Westfield, specifically those applications in the Source to Pay (S2P) and Third-party due diligence lifecycle, and their integration with core financial systems.
  • Develop and maintain monthly and quarterly board reports and analytics, providing insights on procurement performance, risk metrics, and strategic initiatives.
  • Provides the business units with more technical or strategic purchasing requirements while offering creative solutions to complex business issues.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert for third-party risk management-designing and deploying due diligence programs and strategies-while drawing on external resources and experts to continually refine and enhance procurement processes and procedures.
  • Provides data-driven guidance and direction to staff in designing, implementing, and analyzing key performance indicators (KPIs) and departmental service level agreements (SLAs), ensuring proactive monitoring, continuous improvement, and accountability within the Procurement function.
  • Researches and identifies the appropriate technology to be leveraged for future enhancements and process improvements to evolve current procurement processes, including Gen AI.
  • Develops and implements governance policies and standards to ensure data quality, security, and compliance across our sourcing and procurement operations
  • Travels occasionally to champion special projects and strategic initiatives, including coordination of resources, preparation of senior management presentations, and ongoing staff education to drive program excellence.

Job Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of progressive experience in Supply Chain Management, Finance, or Business Operations.
  • 5+ years of experience directly leading, mentoring, and/or motivating individuals and teams
  • 10+ years of experience with procurement systems administration and implementation.
  • Bachelor's degree in business, Finance, Engineering, Supply Chain, and/or commensurate experience. Master's degree in any relevant discipline is preferred.
  • Professional certification in supply chain, procurement, or project management (e.g., CPSM, CSCP, PMP) and/or formal training in continuous improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean Six Sigma).
  • Working knowledge of PeopleSoft and/or other Supply Chain Management/ERP software and Purchase-to-Pay and e-Sourcing applications.

Location:

Hybrid - defined as working three or more days per week in the office if the employee's residence is within 50 miles of Westfield Center, OH; or Remote - if the employee resides more than 50 miles from Westfield Center, OH.
