In the role of Senior Wetland Specialist, we'll count on you to



  • Be viewed as a technical expert with recognized authority in an area of specialization that resolves problems of greater scope and complexity, and to either manage or provide unique technical expertise to wetland sectors and services
  • Lead small to large groups and be responsible for large volumes of work
  • Will act as a quality control reviewer for wetland deliverables and Section 404 permit applications
  • Take responsibility for setting and achieving strategic and staffing goals for wetlands group as assigned
  • Serve as Project Manager on select projects as needed, but project management is not the sole focus of position
  • Perform other duties as needed


Preferred Qualifications



  • Master's degree or PhD in Biology, Ecology, or related field
  • Certified Professional Wetland Scientist

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Biology, Environmental Sciences, Soil Science or closely related field
  • A minimum of 10 years experience in environmental consulting with a successful track record of marketing, project management, staff management and client satisfaction, business development skills; familiarity of local clients and markets. Advance degree may offset years of experience
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs
  • Highly motivated self-starter
  • Leadership skills and ability to manage in a team environment
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Proficiency with GIS and GPS
  • Ability and willingness to perform physically demanding tasks in adverse environmental conditions (rugged terrain, remote locations, hot and cold temperatures)
  • Requires ability to travel
  • An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must
