Overview

Alliance Cancer Specialists, the largest community-based oncology practice in Southeastern Pennsylvania, is expanding our Clinical team! We're looking for a compassionate, detail-oriented Oncology (Infusion) Nurse Manager to join our hardworking and mission-driven team in Bensalem, PA.

About the Role

Reporting to the Director of Clinical Services, the Nurse Manager will:

  • Provide clinical support across the practice location
  • Consult and advise clinicians on best practices
  • Implement and deliver education and training programs
  • Collaborate on interdisciplinary projects
  • Ensure adherence to the US Oncology Compliance Program, including the Code of Ethics and Business Standards
Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee clinical operations to align with organizational goals
  • Support operational initiatives such as:
    • Quality Committees
    • Quality Oncology Practice Initiative (QOPI) assessments
    • Oncology Care Model (OCM)
    • Advancing Care Information projects
  • Promote evidence-based practices and standardized care
  • Assess staffing levels, patient flow, and clinical workflows
  • Assist in developing clinical competency and skills validation programs
  • Manage scheduling, staffing, and compliance with labor laws
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
  • Graduate of an accredited nursing or clinical program (Bachelor's degree preferred)
  • Advanced degree (MSN, MBA, MHA) preferred
  • Current state licensure and CPR certification required
  • Minimum 5 years of clinical experience (oncology preferred)
  • At least 1 year of leadership experience
  • Oncology certification preferred
Working Conditions
  • Traditional office and clinical environment
  • Requires standing, walking, and occasional lifting (up to 40 lbs)
  • Must have full range of motion and normal vision/hearing (with or without correction)

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities
Clinical OversightOversees the clinical operations for all nursing clinical support activities.
Establishes and maintains all nursing personnel files. Ensures all licensing and certification criteria are met.
Assists with the review and revision of clinical policies and procedures.
Ensure adequate staffing/FTEs for assigned clinicsMaintains effective nursing staff coverage and operating costs for the practice and/or satellites within budgetary parameters.
Participates in the interviewing and recruiting of nursing personnel.
Performs tasks assigned to staff nurses as necessary
Demonstrates working knowledge of applicable labor laws and schedules and coordinates employee staffing including vacations, sick leave and overtime.
Ensure clinical operations and practice consistent with organizational objectivesMonitors and evaluates patient satisfaction and quality assurance measures.
Directs the correct use of charge codes and coordinates education of all staff in correct procedures per reimbursement guidelines
Develops new services and activities for patients, families and staff in accordance with practice service objectives.
Staff DevelopmentImplement staff retention and training programs w/ support from clinic leadsCoordinates, implements, and assists with staff training, in-services, and internal developmental programs for nursing staff.
Assists with annual performance evaluations for nursing department staff.
Serves as mentor/preceptor and provides day to day guidance to less experienced nurses
Other duties as assigned
Minimum Job Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities):
Education/Training -
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing, BSN or MSN preferred
RN state license and current registration with the State Board of Nursing in practicing state.
Current CPR certification required.
Business Experience -
Minimum five years actively practicing as a registered nurse, including at least three years oncology experience.
One-year leadership experience preferred
Specialized Knowledge/Skills -
Oncology certification preferred
Chemotherapy Immunotherapy provider card preferred
