THE ROLE:

We are looking for a new team member to lead our WW Cisco Sales team to drive global demand for AMD-based Cisco products and lead a group of Global Account Managers worldwide. This position resides within the Cisco Global Account Management (GAM) team at AMD and works in coordination with the overall AMD sales organization. The Director will drive sales and grow market share of the AMD server/data center and graphics business. He/she will be responsible for establishing the AMD sales strategy, partnerships and go to market approach to drive customer relationships and revenue.

  • A successful track record of regional sales leadership of geographically dispersed sales teams selling a highly technical product to Enterprises and SP's, Including large multi-divisional/multinational companies.
  • An intense drive to "win," combined with sound business perspective

  • Open communication style and presence to work effectively at a Senior Executive level
  • Honest and trustworthy in dealings with internal/external customers, colleagues and stakeholders

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Define and implement Sell-In, Sell-Through, and Sales-Out strategies and quality account plans that grow revenue base and market share for all AMD's network and datacenter products
  • Assess, mentor and grow sales team to drive revenue growth / market share
  • Strong ability to work and leverage other AMD sales motions to bring a "ONE AMD" approach to end user customers
  • Implement robust sales / technical support process and structure
  • Establish significant "pull" with key commercial customers, partners and end user customers
  • Develop cross-division partnerships to establish synergistic solutions for commercial customers
  • Orchestrate programs, events, messaging, and sales enablement requirements across sales teams BUs, and marketing
  • Executive management reporting and analysis including ensuring consistency with how the results are communicated to management
  • Strong pipeline management and forecasting skills for quarterly and annual targets
  • Strong presentation skills for large events to drive the AMD advantage to customers and partners
  • Develop and execute strategic alliance initiatives with commercial customers to foster collaboration
  • Foster relationships with executive contacts for Commercial accounts

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

  • Global Leadership Experience: Demonstrated success in a comparable roles, building and leading a winning global team.
  • GAM Sales Experience: Proven experience in Global Account Management Sales leadership roles, preferably with a background in semiconductors in the enterprise and commercial segment
  • Partner Experience: Strong historical interaction and relationships with OEMs and large Data Centers
  • Organizational Experience: Demonstrated effectiveness working in a cross-matrix structure
  • Product Experience: Expert sales knowledge of the following: Cloud, Networking, Data Centers Solutions, Servers, Graphics and Silicon. Understanding of the products and the market, including software ecosystems
  • Strategic Experience: Experience implementing complex design-in and commercial sales-out strategies that grow revenue base and market share. Validated experience in developing and successfully executing sales plans. Understanding of enterprise channels and partners. Strong experience in solutions selling and routes to market
  • Cisco Leadership experience preferred

ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:

Engineering or relevant technical degree; MSEE, BSc or MBA is preferred/desirable.
