As a Credit Analyst, you will be responsible for supporting the Credit process as an individual contributor, demonstrating strong knowledge and experience in and subject matter expert in credit limit management, interpreting customer credit information and financial statements. What you'll do
- As a vital part of the Finance team, the Credit Analyst will play an important role in ensuring all aspects of the Credit Process are adhered to, as applicable.
- Provide credit support for the sale and placement of product and services while protecting the enterprise from undue credit risk
- Maintain and manage credit limits for customers not assigned to Sr. Portfolio Analysts, which will include direct Customer engagement as necessary
- Provide support to Sr. Portfolio Analysts and their regional portfolio of customers
- Conduct analysis of customer credit and financial data to set credit limits within respective delegated credit authority or to provide clear recommendations for limit credit decisions.
- Ensure credit limits are kept current and orders needing credit attention are released in a timely manner
- Establish and maintain strong relationships and rapport across Sales through transparent communication and consistent engagement.
- Monitor customer credit risk, identifying and resolving and potential credit risk issues in partnership with sales and customers.
What we expect of you
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related financial field of study and 2+ years of experience in corporate credit related positions OR 5+ years of relevant corporate Credit experience
- Demonstrated expertise in managing B2B credit authorizations exceeding $500,000, ensuring sound financial decision-making and risk mitigation.
- Analytical skills and the ability to interpret credit and financial data to arrive at a decision or recommendation that is well thought out and with a clear rationale.
- Good communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact and build partnerships with stakeholders and customers at all levels.
- Good decision making with a balance between data and qualitative factors
- Demonstrated understanding of macroeconomic and industry factors and how they impact credit risk.
- Growth mindset with a strong focus on continuous learning
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team to meet deadlines and deliver results
- Detail-oriented mindset with excellent organizational and prioritization skills
