Job Duties:
Under general supervision of the Controller, the incumbent in this position performs Accounts Payable duties within the Financial Services unit of the Division of Administrative Services. This position is responsible for: pre-auditing and processing payment, accounts payable documentation related to direct payment requests, payment to individual reports, speaker and entertainment contracts, purchase orders, and meal requisitions. The incumbent participates in the maintenance automated financial record keeping systems. The incumbent is responsible for responding to inquiries from university administrators, faculty, staff, and external stakeholders. These responses require knowledge of the financial and administrative procedures and policies of the University, the UW System, and relevant State and Federal agencies. The incumbent may provide department staff training, and trains limited term employees, project appointments and student employees. The incumbent reports directly to the Controller. Hybrid remote work may be available after the successful completion of the initial training period.
