What to Expect
Connectivity is an integral part of all Tesla cars. It enhances the driving experience by providing access to features that require wireless data usage. Antenna Team at Tesla is seeking a test technician to support system level measurements at Bluetooth and UWB frequencies. The successful candidate will be trained by Tesla engineers to execute step-by-step instructions, and support vehicle level wireless radio tests. This technician will work closely with cross-functional teams and support them to achieve accurate and repeatable data collection. A detail-oriented mind set is a must to achieve best-in class results. Helping retrofit the testing cars with endpoints which includes removing fascias, installing endpoint, installing FW, re-installing fascias. This technician should be flexible and driven to achieve tasks in a start-up company environment.
What You'll Do
- Support system level vehicle measurements which include Bluetooth and UWB frequencies
- Follow instructions and execute a software program to start, stop, and save files
- Follow instructions, run Python scripts, and navigate folder structure through terminal interface
- Ensure data collection is properly performed during each test
- Label and organize folders using basic Windows File Explorer skills
- Properly store collected data
- Communicate with firmware and HW engineers to achieve test targets
- Execute 4-8 hour long measurement collection in an outdoors environment
- Drive prototype vehicles in parking lot
What You'll Bring
- Willing and able to learn step-by-step instructions in order to perform different tests
- Fluent in Windows Operating system
- Detail oriented mentality is a must to follow testing procedures accurately
- Self-driven, focused, and hands-on individual to deliver assigned tasks
- Always on-time and executes tests as planned
- Ability to stand outside for long periods of time - up to 8 hours
- Excellent communication skills
- Valid driving license
- Ability to work from both Palo Alto and/or Fremont Tesla sites
- Testing background is a plus

Expected Compensation
$24.40 - $50.40/hour + cash and stock awards + benefits
Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
