Inventory Control Specialist

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain 100% inventory accuracy by tracking all inventory received, issued, transferred, and shipped
• Perform all data entry using the on-line inventory management system and document center
• Process all inventory transactions in accordance with companies policies and procedures
• Conduct cycle counts of all inventory items
• Ensure warehouse and inventory control areas are clean, organized, and all items are properly labeled
• Verify shipment accuracy against packing lists and purchase orders
• Resolve discrepancies regarding inventoried items, materials, parts, components, and tools
• Share responsibility for seven-day/week warehouse coverage with fellow Inventory Control Specialists and the Lead
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations set by OSHA, and Amtrak
• Enforce applicable FRA, OSHA, FDA, and other agency rules, regulations, laws, and standards

Qualifications:

• Minimum 1 year of SAP experience (preferred)
• Minimum of 6 months of experience in Material/Inventory Control, Warehouse, Forklift, Shipping/Receiving, or other Supply Chain duties
• High School Diploma or GED required
• Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills
• Ability to operate a forklift and other warehouse equipment
