Job Description:The Vice President - Service Lines, Site Executive - The Behring Pavilion (Vice President), provides executive leadership of all service lines including Oncology, Digestive Health, Neurosciences, Orthopedics, Spine, Obstetrics, Trauma, Pediatrics and Cardiovascular. The Vice President will oversee regional growth, operational effectiveness and continuous improvement of these service lines. The Vice President will work collaboratively with physicians, leaders and joint venture partners to develop an integrated service line approach for JMH to meet the needs of patients in the region and identify opportunities to provide the highest quality outcomes.

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree - Required
  • Master of public health, health administration, business administration or the equivalent - Preferred

Experience:

  • Experience in an academic medical center, complex and tertiary hospital/health system, or cancer center
  • Experience in inpatient and outpatient operations - Preferred
  • Progressive operational and strategic leadership experience; experience in oncology services - Required
  • Service line experience - Strongly Preferred
  • Management experience recruiting, developing and retaining high-performing teams
  • Experience with quality and service improvement activities, and performance improvement approaches
  • Lean, Six Sigma, High Reliability certification or training - Preferred
  • Track record of partnership with physicians; exposure to different practice models Knowledge of risk-based contracting and value-based care
  • Skills:
  • Visible and accessible leader who engages staff at all levels and where care is being delivered.
  • High degree of professionalism, collaboration and competency dealing with a variety of individuals, including senior executives and external constituencies.
  • Ability to succeed in a complex, fast-paced and changing environment where decision making may be diffuse and ambiguous.
  • Effective leadership abilities, including a record of initiating change and innovation; strategic thinking, planning and problem solving; developing goals and priorities for a large healthcare institution; and superior communication skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication. Demonstrated facilitative leadership style with strong impact, influencing and problem-solving skills with the ability to work multiple priorities.
  • Intellectually curious with a strategic mindset.
  • Strong internal and external relationship development skills.
Work Shift:Exempt Salaried (United States of America)

Pay Range:

$313,664.00 - $470,496.00 Salary
Offer amounts are based on demonstrated/relevant experience and/or licensure.
Pay will be adjusted to the local market if hired outside of the Bay Area.
Note: Positions at JMH which are exempt (not eligible for overtime) under the level of Manager are listed as hourly for compensation purposes on this posting. The work shift will contain the word 'exempt' on it.
