JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking a Senior Manager Test Engineering who will be responsible for conceptualizing and managing the Test Engineering team responsible for designing, constructing, integrating, and supporting safe automated, semi-automated, and manual production test fixtures, procedures, and documentation. This management position will be responsible for managing the Test Engineering team, project planning, and participating in all aspects of Test Engineering projects globally.

This role will be based in our Marlborough, MA office reporting to the Senior Director of Operations.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS



  • These include managing the Test Engineering team as well as the creation of test specifications, methods and Test Engineering project plans. This position will be responsible for managing design reviews for test fixture design and assuring that all aspects of assigned projects are properly documented and prioritized in line with internal and external testing and production requirements. This position will also be responsible for managing the selection of test hardware and software test tools. Scheduling and managing activities with internal/external Test Engineers and Test Technicians are also required.
  • This candidate will manage the Test Engineering team's interaction with Design and Software Engineers, Manufacturing, Materials, fixture vendors and contract manufacturers.
  • The candidate will manage the Test Engineering team to ensure adherence to aggressive development schedules targeting decreased time-to-market and reduced manufacturing test costs.
  • The candidate will be responsible for guiding the Test Engineering team to develop portable test platforms with the goal to reduce board level and system test failures through data collection, failure analysis, and corrective actions for test and design issues.
  • The candidate will work closely with the Senior Manufacturing Engineer and Design Engineers to support all compliancy requirements as well as to ensure quality goals are achieved.


QUALIFICATIONS

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:



  • Minimum of 10 or years' experience managing a Test Engineering department in the electronics industry in a medium volume manufacturing environment.
  • Very strong analog and digital circuit skills including some circuit design and prototyping experience.
  • Possess good software skills.
  • Leadership and documentation skills, and very good diagnostic and analytical skills.


PREFERRED EXPERIENCE (Not Required):



  • Experience developing automation programs in Visual Basic is highly preferred.
  • Experience with high voltage switching power supplies is preferred.
  • Experience working in an ISO environment is preferred.
  • Experience in with Lab View preferred.


KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:

Must be able to develop test protocols and procedures based upon product specifications and deploy tests to verify calibrate and adherence to the product specifications.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

While performing the duties of this job the employee is often required to stand, sit, use computers, read, write, type, use copy machines, file paperwork, use telephones, and utilize written and oral communication to interact with clients, co-workers and customers. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals to perform the essential functions of this job. Must be capable of lifting 30 pounds. Must use assistance when lifting 50 or more pounds.

Actual base salary offered to the hired applicant will be determined based on their work location, level, qualifications, job related skills, as well as relevant education or training experience.
Salary Pay Range Minimum $137,042.07 - Midpoint $194,539.41
