Role Description The Structured Settlements team is looking for a New Business Associate to help manage sales, client relationships, and the end-to-end sales process. This role will serve as the primary point of contact for structured settlement consultants, handling quote requests, addressing product and case-related inquiries, and providing support for customized, case-specific solutions. The New Business Associate will also support key strategic projects for the team, assist with contract review, and share input on business strategy, growth, and development. This position will interact with other members of the Structured Settlements team, as well as business partners in Finance/Pricing, Medical Underwriting, Marketing, Technology, Legal, Compliance, and more. This role will sit in the Structured Settlement's New Business team and report to the Head of Structured Settlements. Job Function and Key Responsibilities * Support and maintain relationships with Structured Settlements Consultants. * Monitor Consultant accounts for satisfaction, growth opportunity, and improved client servicing. * Engage in collaborative efforts with consultants on quote requests, including timely response to daily rate inquiries, locking in cases, and adjusting quotes as needed. * In collaboration with management and the pricing team, coordinate rate changes, update published/daily rates and effectively communicate pricing changes to consultants. * Review and analyze qualified assignments and settlement documents to ensure compliance with applicable tax codes. * Consult and collaborate with management, the Office of General Counsel (OGC), and the Tax department on cases that require further oversight and guidance. * Stay up to date on industry trends, market conditions, and competitive intelligence through continuous monitoring and analysis. * Assist in the development of financial reporting on sales, consultant production reports, and competitive reports to ensure the most accurate and timely information is available. * Act as a liaison between consultants and internal functions (Pricing, Service, Medical Underwriting, etc.) to facilitate effective communication and collaboration. * Closely collaborate with our Service and Operations Team until cases are finalized and contracts are distributed. * Serve as a representative for New York Life at client and industry meetings and events as needed. * Perform self-audits and quality assurance checks to ensure adherence to standards and maintain the highest level of quality. * Engage with internal technology as needed. * Assist with special projects and other initiatives as they arise. Our Ideal Candidate Has: * Sales and customer service experience. * Managed client accounts. * Strong written and verbal communications skills. * A passion for the Structured Settlements industry (experience in the industry preferred). * Understanding of settlement documents. * Administrative proficiency and timeliness in work ethic and flow. * Results-orientated with an ability to execute and complete deliverables in a timely manner. * Advanced attention to detail. * Ability to learn and develop new processes as needed. * Adaptability and curiosity around technology and innovative tools. * Competence in the Microsoft Office suite. * Familiarity with the Structured Settlements industry and product. Required Qualifications * 1-3 years of professional experience (preferably within the Structured Settlements industry). * Certification or degree in finance, business or paralegal studies preferred. * Experience in a sales or paralegal role. * Ability to make decisions that are in compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and tax codes. * General understanding of annuity products, interest rate sensitivity, and financial analysis. Pay Transparency Salary Range:$50,000-$65,000 Overtime eligible:Exempt Discretionary bonus eligible:Yes Sales bonus eligible:No Actual base salary will be determined based on several factors but not limited to individual's experience, skills, qualifications, and job location. Additionally, employees are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus. In addition to base salary, employees may also be eligible to participate in an incentive program.
