Food Service Production will be assigned various areas of responsibility or tasks and required to follow standard operating procedures for those area(s) and maintain a clean working environment. Duties may vary based on which Foodservice Associate positions are offered.
Food Service Production works at food counters helping prepare food, take orders, serve customers, clean and maintain kitchen and serving areas.

Essential Functions
-
1. Maintain and uphold the College values of Learning, Excellence, Accountability, Diversity, Student Success, Teamwork, Integrity, and Respect. Regular attendance is required. 2. Perform office function's which may include but are not limited to: respond to internal/external customers and staff; create and modify documents, records, and reports using College standard software; maintain hard copy and/or electronic filing system; monitor inventory and budget information; schedule, coordinate, and prepare materials for meetings and/or appointments. 3. Complete all required College training and responsible for maintaining the skills necessary to complete the essential functions of the position as defined by the department. 4. Student Success is the cornerstone of Western's culture, and the college may assign employees as needed to other areas or additional duties to foster this success. 5. Meat Slice/Line Worker: responsible for using the Deli Slicer to prepare various products for the Production Kitchen, Union Market stations, and our Erbert's and Gerbert's franchise. After product slicing for the day is finished the Deli Slicer is to be cleaned properly for next use. Shifts will be finished working in one of the stations for the lunch rush or in the production kitchen assisting the staff. Regular attendance is required 6. Short Order Grill/Line Cook: responsible for being the primary Cook for the area or station they are assigned to. Duties include but are not limited to preparing food products, stocking products, maintaining a clean working environment, serving customers, and cooking food to-order. 7. Cold Side/Catering Prep: responsible for preparing any cold ready to eat and microwave meals for our Grab-n-go cold case in the Union Market, preparing cold catering food items and orders, maintaining a clean working environment, and assisting in the Union Market when needed

Minimum Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 3 months food service experience
