Description
Position Overview:
The SB Warehouse and Inventory Specialist will be responsible for managing warehouse operations and inventory distribution across multiple Day Wireless locations. This role requires the use of a forklift or tow motor for equipment handling and includes various administrative tasks such as maintaining accurate inventory records and processing customer orders. The ideal candidate will have experience in shipping, receiving, and inventory management, as well as strong computer skills, particularly in MS Office. Familiarity with NetSuite is a plus, and training will be provided if needed. Key Responsibilities:
- Order Fulfillment: Collaborate with the Strategic Business (SB) Management team to ensure timely and accurate fulfillment of customer orders. Provide support where necessary to meet customer demands.
- Equipment Transfer: Transfer equipment between Day Wireless locations or projects to optimize inventory distribution and ensure equipment availability for customer needs.
- Inventory Management: Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient warehouse. Ensure accurate inventory counts and monitor stock levels to support smooth operations.
- Shipping and Receiving: Accurately select, pack, and release orders for shipment, adhering to established protocols to prevent damage or delays. Handle receiving duties, track shipments, verify materials, and update inventory records.
- Order Processing: Process, pull, and stage orders for equipment builds with attention to detail, ensuring accuracy and quality in order fulfillment.
- Administrative Duties: Maintain the customer order database, ensuring it is accurate and up-to-date for tracking and reporting purposes. Assist with radio programming to meet customer specifications.
- Vendor Relations: Receive materials from vendors, process inbound shipments, and verify the accuracy and completeness of inventory.
- Customer Service: Respond to internal and external communications professionally, acting as the ultimate customer service representative. Assist with inquiries and ensure customer satisfaction.
Qualifications
Qualifications:
- Must be forklift certified and capable of operating a tow motor.
- Valid driver's license with the ability to pass a drug and background check.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Proven experience in shipping, receiving, and inventory management, preferably in a technical or telecommunications industry.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) is required. Familiarity with NetSuite is a plus, but training will be provided if needed.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy in processing orders and managing inventory.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Familiarity with inventory management software or systems is preferred.
