Position Summary

The Regional EHS Manager is responsible to develop, implement and manage the day-to-day environmental, health, and safety (EHS) program for Light & Wonder. The Regional EHS Manager must be an effective communicator and send clear, concise and consistent messages, both verbally and in writing. The Regional EHS Manager will demonstrate the ability to build trust and confidence with their customer teams and drive change by providing direction aimed at creating an incident and injury free culture.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Provides regional EHS leadership, guidance and technical support to the leadership teams on EHS performance, priorities, risks, costs, major issues/concerns and regulatory interpretations. Regions may be in multiple countries with different legal requirements.

  • Collaborates with teams to ensure safe, environmentally practical solutions are achieved for EHS issues that may arise.

  • Leads the execution of an annual EHS plan, including development of expense and capital budgets (as needed) to support these efforts.

  • Defines and implements strategies to engage site employees in the EHS process.

  • Oversees the region-wide system to identify and evaluate hazards and implement effective controls consistent with EHS processes.

  • Leads the incident investigation process, including root cause analysis and identification of corrective action plans

  • Builds capability of site resources to support implementation of EHS programs

  • Oversees EHS regulatory requirements in the region; ensures all regulatory requirements are implemented effectively.

  • Develops and maintains EHS systems, processes and records.

  • Develops EHS training to ensure compliance and communicate expectations.

  • Acts as the point person to identify, correct, and communicate EHS issues in a professional manner.

  • Conducts audits, risk assessments, to determine root causes, and ensures corrective actions are implemented to prevent reoccurrence.

  • Ensures that required regulatory permits are acquired, reports are submitted to regulatory agencies, and any permit conditions (e.g., sampling, recordkeeping) are met.

  • Interfaces with regulatory bodies on EHS matters, as needed.

  • Provides guidance to operations on employees returning to work within their restrictions to encourage return to work at full capacity.

Qualifications
  • 7-10 years minimum EHS experience in an industrial or manufacturing setting. Experience in ergonomics or warehousing is preferred.

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in safety, industrial hygiene, engineering, or related field, or equivalent work experience in this field of work.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

  • Strong communication skills with the ability to effectively present to various levels of the organization

  • Strong computer skills with capability in Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, Word.

  • Problem solving ability to be capable of leading accident investigations and identification of corrective actions

  • Organizational skills to build effective project plans the ability execute to the plan for completion of projects.

  • Strong technical skills in the areas of environmental, safety and health regulatory requirements.

  • Capability to build and manage an effective EHS management system.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. International travel may be required as part of this position, as needed.

Work Conditions:

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
