As an integral part of the Rumpke Human Resources team, Training Specialist will act as a key enabler to implement Rumpke Talent Development initiatives across all functions through in-person, on-line and self-paced learning opportunities. This role will own identification of training needs, contribution in training content development, delivery of both mandatory and developmental trainings, capturing of feedback on training efficacy and effectiveness and maintaining training records. This is a highly collaborative role that involves working with multiple stakeholders in HR and all internal customers. Reporting to Talent Development Manager, this role is focused on elevating overall employee experience through multiple growth and development-oriented engagements.

Responsibilities of Position:



  • Facilitate training sessions on soft-skills, leadership development and any other assigned topics through in-person or virtual delivery
  • Monitoring coverage of self-paced learning modules for all assigned team members
  • Ensure collection of feedback on effectiveness of training programs and maintain attendance records of training sessions deployed
  • Collaborate with Manager, Talent Development on new content development and upgrade for both in-person and self-paced learning modules
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand training needs and present recommendations on quarterly training interventions to the Manager, Talent Development
  • Ensure regular monitoring and reporting on all talent development initiatives deployed by corporate human resources
  • Collaborate with Regional Human Resource Managers to conduct specific training refreshers or one-on-one training for identified team members as a part of their growth or performance enhancement plan
  • Assist functional training resources and subject matter experts in development or upgrade of their departmental training content
  • Collaborate with managers to ensure that new associates receive the necessary support and resources during their onboarding experience
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry best practices in training and development
  • Other duties as assigned

Experience & Knowledge Needed for Position:



  • 3-5 years of experience delivering training in both in-person and virtual settings
  • Experience collaborating on the development of training content, supplemental materials and leader's guides
  • LMS administration experience or demonstrated proficiency with LMS platforms
  • Strong skills in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, with the ability to train others in their use
  • Experience in managing digital training content authoring tools like Adobe Captivate, Articulate 360 etc
  • Certification in instructional design and experience in managing content authoring tools like Adobe Captivate, Articulate 360 etc. is a plus



Physical Requirements in a Regular Workday:



  • Rarely lifting/carrying/pushing/pulling a max of 10 lbs
  • Frequently sitting/standing/walking



Additional Working Conditions/Aspects:



  • Ability to travel between offices, as required
  • Legally eligible to work in the United States
  • Valid driver's license (if applicable)
  • Must successfully complete pre-employment testing
  • Must be able to read and speak the English language
